Soundation – Your Online Music Studio
Don’t be shy; leave a comment!
Soundation is a cool site that lets you create music on the Web. Now, creating that next musical masterpiece has never been easier with this cool music tool.
“Whether you are an amateur or a pro you will be able to satisfy all your needs with Soundation Studio — a powerful online sequencer with 11 real time effects, 3 synthesizers, a drum machine and a fully integrated Sound Shop.”
Be sure to check out “The Studio” and “The Sound Shop” when you get a chance.
They offer an introductory library of over 400 loops plus you can buy more sounds if needed. This is definitely something you just can’t beat.
You don’t have to install any type of software because it is all done on the Web.
Wondering where the sounds come from?
“PowerFX. You have probably heard our sounds on productions from Timbaland, Jay-Z, BMW, CNN, SVT or on products like Apple’s GarageBand, Logic or Cakewalk’s Dimension Sampler, Propellerheads REASON Strings, Ableton Live, MOTU or SanDisk. We have recorded great players and used the services of some the universe’s best producers and sound developers.”
You can also purchase an Audio Locker that will let you store files on their site that can be accessed from anywhere. For $19/year you can get 100 MB of storage plus you’ll be able to upload your own sounds into the Soundation studio. If you’re looking for more you can get a plan with 2 GB or 5 GB of storage that can be paid on a monthly or yearly basis. There are also many sound sets to choose from, most are $4.99.
So what are you waiting for? Head on over and play around with it.

Keep it up the good job
I very much wish more home recording learning materials were geared toward beginners who aren’t necessarily techies.
